Bento Love

After my cloudy mood all last week, a little box of sunshine arrived on my doorstep Friday morning.  It was filled with bento supplies from Ichiban Kan.

I used to make bento lunches for The Daddy Monkey a few years ago when he wasn’t able to come home for lunch.  It is a lot of fun, and I must admit I am a total sucker for the over-the-top cuteness of Japanese design.

Knowing that The Boy is going to school in a few months, I decided to stock up on some bento supplies for making his school lunch a little more fun.

Here’s the whole lot.

Food pics.  Why is the giraffe frowning?  I’m sure The Boy will ask me.

Penguin container.  The kids both flipped out over this.

You have to love the “english” on these boxes.

How could I not buy this monkey potholder?

Can’t wait to start packing!

Will you pack my lunch? This all looks like so much fun! Just don’t teach The Boy to read with his lunch box…
