afternoons have always been a big challenge for me. both of my kids gave up naps early (my daughter at 2 1/2 and my son at 3) and it has been a real challenge (to put it mildly).

i am drained in the afternoon and i absolutely *need* quiet space away from them to recharge.

it&#039;s different now that they are in school three full days. on our two home days we tend to have afternoon adventures...but it used to be a really big challenge for me. one that led me to come up with all kinds of creative &quot;busy boxes&quot; for them so that i could lie on the couch and shut my eyes for just a few minutes.
