Paris I’ll never forget you

I don’t even know where to begin. Paris was unforgettable.

Just a few things I love about Paris: I never felt overdressed, the weather was perfect, and the pace of the city was so calm and relaxed.  The sense of a beautiful and well-lived life permeates everything.

Just imagine sleeping above a French bakery and waking up to the glorious smell of baking pastries every morning.  And hearing the bakers stand in the alley, smoking cigarettes and chatting in French. That is why I love Paris. It’s just absolutely perfect in every conceivable way.

It’s amazing how time away from the children and the laundry made it possible for me to exhale like I hadn’t in years. It was a moving, magical, unforgettable time.

When we returned from Paris, life swept me away in a way that I have never experienced before, and I am trying to come up for air.

I am alive and well, with a new love and appreciation for life. Trying to find the beautiful in the mundane.
