Finished Just In Time
Thursday, 1 October 2009
Ahhh. Fall has finally arrived. Just when I thought I couldn’t take it any more, I woke up one day, and it was cool outside. I’m sure that Fall with have many false starts, that’s just how it works down here. But for now, I am relishing it. It’s so nice to have the house open after having it shut up tight for the past six months.
The good news is that I finished The Girl’s pink sweater the night before it got cool. It is Knitty’s Haiku, knit in Lily Sugar’n Cream.
I may not have any turning leaves, down comforters, or frosty nights, but I cling to what I do have: a breezy home, a backyard that’s not filled with mosquitos, and my girl wearing a sweater that I knit for her.

So, So beautiful! I am just learning to knit– finally got my stitch down, but I’m still at the make-big-mistakes-and-end-up-unraveling-the-whole-thing stage. But that sweater– and the sweet, sweet thoughts behind it– now that is such motivation to keep going!
